Super Nintendo World's Mario Cafe Opens Up to Public at Universal Studios Japan!
Posted on October 23, 2020
Universal Studios Japan’s Super Nintendo World was originally planned to be open before the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and Paralympics, but has been delayed until Spring 2021. While the world eagerly awaits the opportunity to experience their favorite Mario and Nintendo games, the Mario cafe recently opened to the public on October 16.
Their menu is centered around classic Mario characters including Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach!
Mario’s cap is a strawberry shortcake pancake sandwich, while Luigi’s is a grape no-bake cheesecake (YUM!)
The cafe also offers Italian cream sodas, with green apple, peach, and strawberry flavors to match Luigi, Peach and Mario.
The cafe also includes a store section, where you can buy goods of these three characters.
Although the store-front “Schwab’s Pharmacy” has not been rebranded to a Mario or Nintendo name (a truly missed opportunity to reference Dr. Mario…), the rest of the store has been redone to immerse you into a level straight from Super Mario.
Although there’s still a fair amount of time before Super Nintendo World’s anticipated opening, satisfy your sweet tooth and give some love to your favorite Nintendo characters at the Mario cafe!
